The Horse Trails

this is a place where all humans from packs can ride their horses. It is a beautiful forest with trails that go through streams and beautiful views.

Samara followed Jace with his horse to the main trails still unsure if she wanted to get up onto the horse. She watched the horse in amazement at it's grace. She smiled to herself as she watched Wisp.

Jace turned to her "come on get on I will ride with you" he said. He waited for her to jump on.

She hesitated but then walked over to the horse. She petted the paint horse before turning to the stirrups. She climbed up onto the horse. "I'm still not sure about this." she said looking to Jace.

Jace chuckled and climbed on behind her. He grabbed the reins and put them in her hands "I will be here don't worry" he said and started Wisp off on a slow trot.

She automatically clutched hard on the reins giving the horse little lead and slack. "I don't know what I'm doing with these." she said still not comfortable with the horse.

Jace laughed as a turn to the right came up, he looked at her. He smiled "ok so grasp the reins and turn them to the right to make her turn" he said. He waited to see if she could do it.

She thought about it for a moment and soon began to relax a little allowing her young memories to flood back to her from the last time she was on a horse. Remembering what to do she took her right hand and pulled back on the reins gently, pulling the horses head in that direction letting the horse know she wants it to go right.

Jace smiled "see its not that hard" he said. He saw a large log coming up and he looked at her "you remember how to jump" he asked. he pulled his brown hair back up and looked at her.

"No." she began to panic slightly. "What do I do?" she asked unsure of herself while up on the horse. Her hands began to shake.

Jace took the reins "its ok Wisp knows what to do" he said and squeezed his legs as Wisp jumped. He Samara back the reins "its ok" he said and watched her.

Right before Wisp jumped Samara panicked forgetting to hold of so when the horse landed Samara went forward almost falling off the horse.

Jace jerked forward and grabbed Samara by the waist pulling her back to his chest "you ok" he asked and got the reins back and had Wisp stop. He looked at her worriedly.

She froze for a brief moment. "Yeah.." she said chocking back unfriendly words. "Mind if we stop." she gave a laugh of uncomfort. "We can give this another try some other time." Samara said.

Jace nodded letting her go and started Wisp again. He trotted toward the stables. Once he was there he jumped down and waited for Samara to get off.

"Thanks," she said in what almost was a whisper. Samara swung her leg around to where both her legs were on the same side of the horse. She carefully heaved herself off the saddle, letting gravity do the rest of the work. She landed on the ground with her knees slightly bent, a soft thud could be heard. The blue eyed girl push a lock of hair out of her eyes and behind her ear. "Well that was.." she paused. "fun." she giggled and then turned back to the paint horse, petting her forehead. "She's a very beautiful horse." 

(Is Wisp a girl or a boy? lol)

(Don't worry it's a girl) Jace nodded "want to help me groom her" he asked leading her to the hose. He decided if it was a nice day then It was a good day for washing Wisp.

"Sure, I'd love to." she said walking with him and the horse. Her eyes beamed as she let them wonder over the horses muscular body. "They are such lovely creatures." Samara said, reaching out to stroke the horse again. "When did you get her?" she glanced to Jace, offering a sweet smile.

Jace nooded and tied her to a post. He got the hose out and waited for the water to get warm. He looked back "my old pack had many horses and my grandfathers found her a wild mare ad they breeded her with another paint so I guess you could say she is a famy horse" he said and looked at her and flicked some water at her.

She nodded. "Oh, I see." she said waiting for the water as well. "Sh must be an old horse than. How old is she?" Samara tilted her head slightly in wonder.

Jace shook his head "no she is a young one, her mother died a while ago after my pack died" he said and patted her nose. Jace turned to Samara and flicked water at her with a grin. He turned away like nothing happened.

She furrowed her brow, crossing her arms like she was mad or even upset that he did that. Trying to keep a straight face she muttered, "that wasn't nice." At the end of her sentence a smile formed at the corner of her lips, no longer being able to hide it. Samara busted out in giggles before snatching the hose from his grasp and spraying him with it.

Jace shook his head with laughed and then laughed harder when she snatched the hose from him and started to spray him. He growled and went behind her snatching it from her and putting water down the back of her shirt.

"Jace!" she squealed and began to jump frantically like it would help her any. The water soaked the ground a little too much causing mud to form. Still jumping she ended up stepping in the mud and falling flat on her butt covering herself in mud. She began to laugh while doing so she scooped up some mud and flunk it at him. "Look what you've done?" she giggled while looking at him.

Jace laughed and laughed harder when mud hit him strait on the chest. He looked down "hmmm what if I?" he said not finishing his sentence as he flung mad her. He grabbed the hose "you might need this" and sprayed her all over.
